My motto is that "People are Precious". Someone came back at me to that with "Well, yes, but some of them are Diamonds and others are just Quartz Crystal.
I have never had a diamond bigger than about a quarter carat (maybe not even that big) BOTH wedding/engagement ring sets from my 2 marriages sold for a grand total of .....$65 last year when I was completely broke. But I have never really cared much about about the size or "quality" of shiny things---I just like that they shine.
People who hang out with only certain people because they look perfect, or have all their apparent "ducks in a row" and have "Mastered" their life are missing out on alot of Gems.
Sometimes the flaws and "inclusions" (to use a jewelers term") refract the light in such a unique way that beauty beyond measure is attained that couldn't be found in a flawless stone.
The friend who is there to make you laugh when you are down, or help you take pictures for a project, and give you a hug and make you cozy and let you sleep on their couch when you get too tired to drive....They are a Diamond.
